The game isn't for hours but the blogging begins early. That's how we roll here at CBSSports.com.
The main blog objectives today:
1. Make fun of Doyel's atrocious haircut which looks like his head got caught in a wood chipper.
2. Blog every important moment of the game including chronicling John Calipari's gyrations.
3. Count the number of times Tyler Spazbrough is called a "hero" or "gritty" or "a gritty hero." The over/under is 912.
4. Sneak in talk about "Battlestar Galatica" the best show on TV since "Cheaters."
5. Document the number of Memphis fans who will say no one respects their team.
Most of all, have fun, and talk a lot of basketball.
Three-plus hours until game time. What do I do first. Hmmm...eat my turkey sandwich with swiss and extra mustard or make fun of Doyel?
So many decisions...

Houston and the Super Bowl
How easily could the city handle hosting another one?
Based on what I've seen with how the city hosted the NCAA South Regional the answer is fairly easily.
There are plenty of hotels, the people are nice and things went fairly efficiently with the regional.
Just one caveat.
The traffic here is unbelievably bad. I mean, awful. It could be a serious problem for fans and media attempting to get around Super Bowl week. I can't imagine what the congestion would be like with so many more people jamming already over-crowded highways.
Other than the traffic issues Houston would again do a very fine job.

Memphis fans ... dream on
Been looking over the message boards and boy are the Memphis fans doing some serious whining, crying and preening.
I haven't seen this much chest thumping since I watched a 50 Cent video.
The few who could properly spell and conjugate stated I should apologize for writing about the flaws of the Tigers.
Apologize. Sure. Keep waiting for that. It'll happen any day now.
Memphis fans, a word of advice. I know you're fairly new to this whole winning thing so listen closely.
Grow thicker skins. You're in the big time now.
But keep posting on CBSSports.com. You're making my day by driving up site traffic.
Some of you might want to buy a dictionary, however.

North Little Rock has been an outstanding host
The sub-regional here could not have gone smoother. The games were good, the people running the press conferences and handling the media were extremely professional and the fans weren't too obnoxious or foul mouthed. What more could you ask for?
Seriously, the city handled the crowds well and it was extremely convenient getting around. The downtown area was surprisingly hopping and the North Little Rockians (is that a word? Little Rockans? Little Rockers?) were all extremely nice.
What impressed me the most was the city's poise in light of the devastating floods that have rocked a large portion of this state. You know some people here had to have family or friends affected by the frighteningly high waters that have broken levees and destroyed homes.
In fact, of all the regionals I have covered, this one was probably the best.

I picked San Diego...kneel before Zod.
I was ripped by a no talent blogger.
Mocked by my colleagues.
Laughed at by Prisco.
Destroyed by some idiots on the message boards.
Kicked in the butt by Doyel.
But in the end my San Diego team of destiny proved me right.
I picked San Diego to beat UConn and yo
